Announcement of the Scholarship Program from the Future Aspiration Fund for Students with Difficult Circumstances
The University of Economics – VNU announces the scholarship program of the Future Aspiration Fund for students with difficult circumstances. Specific details are as follows:
Eligible Applicants:
- Students of the University of Economics – VNU who have completed at least 2 semesters at the university (as of the time before the program takes place) and wish to participate in the credit exchange program at Yonsei University, South Korea.
Selection Criteria:
- Students with difficult circumstances, a strong will to overcome challenges in life, and a certification from their local authorities (required).
- Cumulative GPA of at least 7.0 (on a 10-point scale) or 2.5 (on a 4-point scale).
- Conduct score of 70/100 or higher.
- Foreign language proficiency meeting one of the following conditions:
- English: TOEFL iBT > 79 (Mybest score not accepted), TOEIC > 750, or IELTS > 6.0
- Korean: KLAT or TOPIK level 4
- Not applicable to students who have received the Mirae Asset scholarship in 2023.
Priority Criteria:
- Students with excellent research achievements, or students with the “Five Good” title.
- Students who actively participate in extracurricular activities and social work.
Number of Scholarships and Value:
- 2 scholarships, each worth 115,000,000 VND (One hundred fifteen million VND) per scholarship.

Documents Required for Scholarship Application:

- Notarized copy of certificate confirming the student’s family is low-income, poor, or near-poor, with local authorities’ certification (mandatory).
- Curriculum vitae with local authority confirmation (template attached).
- Application form for program participation (template attached).
- Transcripts for all completed semesters up to the current time with confirmation from the Training Department.
- Certificate of conduct score for the most recent academic year with confirmation from the Student Affairs & CT&CTSV Department.
- Language proficiency certificate with confirmation from the issuing department.
- Certificate of academic research achievements, “Five Good” student award.
- Photocopies of certificates/confirmation documents for participation in school events and activities (with original for verification).
All documents must be arranged in order and placed in a separate envelope. The envelope must clearly state the following information: Full Name, Date of Birth, Address, Faculty, University, Phone, Email, and a list of documents included. Submitted documents will not be returned.
We kindly request all departments and institutes to submit the list of eligible students with their scholarship application documents (hard copy) to the Research & Development Department by Thursday, October 3, 2024.
